Yorkshire based charity, Help 4 Homeless Veterans, has received a grant for £25,000 from ABF The Soldiers’ Charity to assist with the expansion of its housing service offered to veterans in the region.

Steve Bentham-Bates, CEO of Help 4 Homeless Veterans, is leading its expansion programme, he comments: “With this very welcome cash injection work can now progress much more quickly to engage with local council housing departments using the model established in Barnsley and Doncaster, creating a faster means of helping veterans when they contact the charity.

“This is fantastic support from The Soldiers’ Charity, recognizing our efforts helping around 300 veterans since our formation, and our commitment to grow means we can really step up a gear ensuring fewer ex-soldiers remain sofa surfing, car sleeping or living in totally unacceptable conditions”.
