Soap star wheels all the way from Weatherfield to share seasonal bash at Bolton-upon-Dearne

CORRIE fans at a Dearne care home rolled out the red carpet for a special visitor from the cobbles of ‘The Street’.

Alan Halsall, who plays hapless mechanic Tyrone Dobbs, tossed his troubles aside to share harvest festival fun with Dearne Hall residents at Bolton. The actor mingled with residents and families, signed autographs, and donated a signed copy of ‘50 Years of Coronation Street’ to the raffle. The event raised £680 for the Alzheimers Society and Dearne Hall Residents’ Fund.

Alan said: “It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the harvest celebrations”.
