Residents have been rallying round to raise money to send a poorly little girl to America for surgery that could help her walk for the first time.

Little Mae Louisa Lilly Fox, aged three, needs £70,000 for the life changing operation but £12,000 has already been raised in just four weeks and the money keeps rolling in.

Pupils and staff at Auckley raised £760 with a fun and bun day, featuring a sponsored bounce, with more sponsorship expected to come after the half term holidays.

Meanwhile generous shop owners at Bowers Fold raised £844 with a fundraising day for the youngster who has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy.
