LOTTERY funded projects which have provided a positive impact on Thorne area people have a chance of winning national recognition.
Residents are being asked to nominate their favourite project for The National Lottery Awards 2011.
Over £2 million of funding was invested in good causes in the borough last year and the National Lottery is encouraging these projects, and any organisation that has received money over the past 16 years, to enter the prestigious awards.
Rebecca Gowrley of the National Lottery Awards, said: “If a Lottery-funded project has had a positive impact on your local area, made a real difference to your life or if you are personally involved with a project that is transforming your community, we want to hear from you.”
Entrants which reach the finals of the National Lottery Awards will receive national recognition at a star-studded event broadcast to be televised later this year.
They will also have a chance to win a £2,000 cash prize.
Entrants can visit www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk or call 0207 960 6828 to find out more.
