SOUTH Yorkshire Police Authority is recruiting new independent custody visitors (ICVs) to check on the welfare of people being held in police cells.
Visits made by ICVs offer the chance to observe, comment and report on the rights, health and welfare of those in custody, as well as the conditions of the detention facilities.
Anyone aged 18 or over who lives or works in Doncaster is eligible to apply. The closing date is Friday, May 11.
