Field Road Practice reception are running a trial, the booking of GP appointments up to two weeks in advance.
They are making this change to give patients more choice in their appointments with the GP’s. They recognise that for ongoing care some patients may wish to book two weeks in advance to enable them to see a particular GP. Tel (01302) 841202. Pre booked appointments can be booked up to five working days in advance.
Book on the day by telephone after 8.30am, please be aware that there is a limited number of appointments on the day compared to routine pre bookable appointments.
Early morning and late evening appointments are vailable on Monday for early morning and evening appointments, these appointments are pre bookable five days in advance.
The surgery closes two Wednesday afternoons a month-for training, next training day is June 22. The surgery will close at 12noon on these days.
Members of Polton Close TARA recently held a coffee morning and fashion show raising money to help pay for their recent photo shoot for their Calendar’.
Chairman Eddy Nesbitt asked for sponsors but nobody came forward so they decided to do a bit of fundraising themselves. In all the total raised including donations was £152.50.

Woodhouse Phoenix group are putting on Cabaret 6A at the Hatfield Woodhouse Village Hall on Saturday June 18.

Hatfield Woodhouse Chapel had a very successful Anniversary weekend. The weather was kind to them and over £700 was raised for Chapel funds. The coffee morning this week, June 11 will be for Project 2000 funds.
The preacher this Sunday, June 12 will be Rev Sandie Exley-Watts from Bentley.

DEPARTING from Mexborough Railway Station on Saturday, June 18 will be a coach trip organised by Pat McLaughlin to discover Doncaster’s hidden treasures as part of South Yorkshire’s Heritage Weekend. Their destination includes Saint Cuthbert’s Church in Fishlake where canny parishioners will be ready to greet the visitors with a Strawberry Fayre.
Long awaited repairs to the Nab have taken place this week which will smooth the visitors’ way.
The winners of the Fishlake 100 Club Draw for May were: Gladys Hamilton, Sarah Duckitt and Phil Wood.
Ladies luncheon club met at the Earl of Doncaster for their monthly lunch, after dinner speaker was Ilona Richards who is a member of the Scrimbers as seen on TV, and gave members many hints and advice on how to live spending less. Members were impressed by some of the information. Winners of the raffle were Mrs D Davies and Ann Leeming.
