ELVIS had in fact entered the building of one Doncaster school along with other colourful characters as it celebrated Sport Relief.

Scores of staff and sixth formers at Ash Hill Academy donned fancy dress to raise cash for the national event. Younger pupils were also not left out as they chose to wear the colour red to show their support.

The Hatfield-based academy decided to get a head-start on the charitable event which mainly takes place from tomorrow until Sunday.

Each year Sport Relief attracts support from people nationally including celebrities with comedian John Bishop, former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff and singer Olly Murs taking on various challenges.

Money raised is spent by Comic Relief to help people in the UK and the world’s poorest countries.
