A VETERINARY practice proved it was not barking up the wrong tree when it hosted an action-packed fundraiser.
Whether it was a dog show, tombola, residents braving wet sponges in the stocks, raffles or family fun games there was something for everyone at Arundell Veterinary Care’s charity event.
Advice and information was also on offer for pet owners on how to care for their furry additions to the family.
Generous folk did not paws for thought when it came to digging deep, with more than £500 raised. The money will be split between the Dogs Trust and Cats Protection.
Manager Natalie Arundell said: “The afternoon went very well, we raised a lot of money and had a variety of activities on offer for everyone who came along.
“We had stalls selling bric-a-brac and books and had people come along from Cats Protection and other groups such as Bentley’s Cavy Corner Guinea Pig Sanctuary who supported with the event.”
The vet practice in Hall Villa Lane, Toll Bar, has raised plenty of cash in the past through sponsored dog walking and other pet-related events.
