A new social enterprise providing events and activities for disabled people has launched in Doncaster.

Doncaster Inclusive Centre of Excellence (DICE) is headed up by former local authority worker Colin Findley, who left his full-time job to set up the not-for-profit organisation.

Based in Doncaster Deaf Trust on Leger Way, it hosts free, weekly ‘social pub’ events as well as one-off shows and trips.

Colin, 32, of Balby, said: “In our first few months we have achieved good success with the events we have delivered but there are thousands of disabled people in Doncaster that have not heard about what we have to offer.”

The next big event is a performance by blind X Factor finalist Peter Jones on October 24. To find out more about DICE, call Colin on 483293.
