A TEEN beauty has beaten thousands of other girls to make it through to the second round of a modelling competition.
Megan Ormston, 16, was one of 6,500 initial entrants to the Miss Teen Queen competition, and is now competing against 37 other girls in this month’s 16 to 19-years-old category.
She is currently winning her heat, with almost three times as many votes as the girl in second place.
If Megan, who attends Outwood Academy, wins her heat she will go through to the final in London over the summer to win a selection of prizes including beauty treatments and professional photo shoots.
Proud mum Elaine Ormston, from Mayfields, Scawthorpe, said: “She is doing very well and has already been approached by an agency in London because of it.
“When she was younger she did a little bit of modelling work but nothing like this.”
