Man trapped after roundabout crash

A MAN had to be cut out of a vehicle following a car smash on a busy roundabout this morning.

Firefighters had to cut the roof off of the car after the man was trapped inside following the collision which also involved a black Volkswagen Polo.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent along two crews and a Rapid Response Vehicle as paramedics treated the motorists at the Intake pile-up.

The Punto driver suffered a head injury and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary as a result of the collision which happened just before 7.45am.

Officers were called to the incident which caused traffic chaos during rush hour.
