The body of a man has been discovered near a popular children’s Scout camp in Doncaster.
South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the body of the 50-year-old was discovered near Squirrel Wood Scout Camp near Burghwallis.
A member of the public called emergency services at 3.49pm on Friday 2 January after they found a man in woodland near the camp.
Paramedics pronounced the man from the Skellow area, dead at the scene.
Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and are preparing a file for the coroner.
Squirrel Wood is a popular Scout campsite situated in Burghwallis.
Set in over 70 acres of natural woodland, the site has attracted thousands of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers along with Brownies, Guides and Rangers over the decades.
