Children and families visiting Lakeside Village have proven that they are all heart by helping to create a large art legacy which has been unveiled, as part of the shopping centre’s Feel the Love campaign.
Young shoppers and their families have helped to make the piece of art over the last few months from coloured clay at Lakeside Village. More than 400 children and their families took part in the community art project and personalised their piece of clay which they will be able to recognise in the finished Heart Art.
The children’s creations the ‘heart art’ is now on display in the indoor children’s play area at the Lakeside Village.
Cheryl Sadler, centre manager at Lakeside Village, said: “We were delighted by the response to this project. So many families and young shoppers got involved. We were really impressed by the creative flair people showed, creating fantastic designs on small pieces of clay.
“This artwork really means something to the families who come to visit Lakeside Village and captures the community spirit that we are so proud of here.
“By creating their piece for the heart, the children have created a little bit of history which they can come back and look at in years to come.”
