Plans for war memorial in Doncaster village gain momentum

Residents who have campaigned to have a war memorial built in Edenthorpe are set to meet with a Doncaster MP, as part of their fundraising campaign.

Doncaster Central MP, Rosie Winterton, will meet with the Edenthorpe War Memorial Committee tomorrow to discuss plans for the memorial.

The group need to raise a total of £10,000 to built the memorial, which will be the first in the village.

They intend to raise the money through a series of fundraisers across the borough.
