Park Lodge Shooting School has been named as New Business of the Year 2014 in the Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards, announced on 28 February. The Awards, which are organised by Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce, were held at a glittering ceremony at the Goole Academy Conference Centre attended by over 300 guests.

Park Lodge Shooting School offers shooting experiences and tuition for the novice and experienced clay and game shooter. Owned and run by Tom and Sharon Bayston, it is set in 44 acres of open terrain and has been developed alongside their existing farming business. Park Lodge launched stunning new facilities including a new shooting lodge featuring a stylish country wear shop, meeting facilities, an air rifle range and a coffee shop/bistro, which have all been a great success and has resulted in Park Lodge increasing its bookings by 60% increase in the last 12 months.

Park Lodge also organises shooting competitions, visitor events, team building events, and businesses from across Yorkshire and beyond enjoy the venue for corporate events. Shooting facilities include the highest towers in the North of England, standing at 30m and 42m, plus a fantastic range of clay layouts including Olympic skeet, English skeet and a range of English sporting targets.

Tom Bayston, proprietor of Park Lodge Shooting School said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the New Business of the Year Award for 2014. We were up against some tough competition and it’s testament to the hard work of the whole team here that we have achieved such success in such a short space of time.”
