A man has allegedly been racially abused at Doncaster train station.

British Transport Police have now released CCTV images of a man officers want to speak to in connection with the racially aggravated incident.

The incident happened at about 3.30pm on Monday, July, 14 as a 20-year-old black man, from Doncaster, was waiting outside the station.

PC Roy Percival said: “Whilst the man was standing outside the station he was targeted by a second man who, seemingly without provocation, hurled racist abuse at him.

“The confrontation wasn’t physical, but the victim was extremely upset at the nature of the abuse and it is imperative we trace the man in the CCTV as I believe he has vital information in relation to the incident.”

If you recognise the man, or have any information about what happened, please call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or ring Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
