A man at the centre of a row over an illegal caravan and business site on greenfield land in Moss has been arrested.
Police arrested Nigel Smith, also known as Nigel Weston-Smith, 57, on Tuesday, before taking him to a High Court hearing in London over an alleged breach of a court order which instructed him to stop work and remove units from Manor Farm.
He had previously been handed a suspended prison sentence for failing to abide by an enforcement notice ordering him off the land.
The court hearing, on Tuesday, was adjourned for eight days.
After that, the judge will consider whether or not he has complied with the notice.
