Kids can muck in at free allotment workshops at Lakeside Village from 10am-4pm every Friday in August, and bank holiday Monday.
They can paint their pot, plant some seeds and then go back plant their seedling at the centre when it’s started to grow.
At the end of the summer, the planters along with the flowers will be donated to the Bluebell Wood children’s hospice for their outdoor garden area.
The children’s hospice offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at the hospice.
