A charity champion is taking on the gruelling challenge of completing three marathons in as many months despite never running one before.

Michael Dickinson, aged 42, from Tickhill, has already completed the Wales Marathon in July and is gearing up to take part in The Highland Perthshire Marathon on September 6 and the Mablethorpe Marathon on October 5.

Mr Dickinson is raising money for National Autistic Society – who have supported his 12-year-old son Ross, who was diagnosed with the condition at the age of three, Cancer Research and British Wheelchair Athletics Association.
