Doncaster crime round-up - OAP finds burglar in bedroom

The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on June 15. Anyone with information please call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Cusworth: An elderly woman disturbed a burglar in the bedroom of her bungalow in Mulberry Close yesterday afternoon after she had been in the garden. He jumped out of a window without stealing anything.

Inake: A burglar entered a house in Dargle Avenue yesterday evening and took an iPad, jewellery, purse and currency.

Conisbrough: Thieves broke into a container at Rowena Academy, Gardens Lane, and stole a number of pedal cycles and trikes on Friday night, two of which were recovered over the weekend in an alleyway on Greens Lane.

Braithwaite: About £2,000 worth of power tools from the garage of a property in Low Lane, and a garage in Pear Tree Close was also burgled but nothing stolen.

Town centre: Women’s handbags were stolen from women in the early hours of Sunday at The Priory, La Baraca and Biscuit Billy’s.

Woodlands: A barbecue and garden furniture were stolen from a storage box behind a house in Second Avenue, on Saturday evening.
