Bawtry: A 75-year-old woman was cutting her back garden grass yesterday afternoon when a thief slipped in through the insecure door and stole three rings from one of the rooms.

Cusworth: Burglars forced the rear door of a house in Cusworth Lane on Tuesday afternoon and stole a laptop, iPod, notebook, computer games and a console worth around £2,500.

Wheatley: Burglars tried to force the lock of a door of a house in Harrowden Road on Tuesday night but did not succeed.

Armthorpe: Wigs, hair extensions, cash and a laptop were among the haul when intruders forced the door of Cutts & Co hair salon in Doncaster Road.

Mexborough: Spare wheels have been stolen from a Ford Transit parked in Harlingotn Road and a Mercedes Sprinter parked in Clayfield View.

Askern: Fishing tackle worth about £4,000 was stolen when a shed was broken into on Mayfield Crescent.

Armthorpe: About £200 worth of various sweets were stolen when intruders broke into the storeroom of Sweets and Treats in Mere Lane early yesterday.

Dunscroft: Hand tools were stolen in another raid on a shed on allotments at The Oval.
