Doncaster crime round up, August 20: Bouncing castle stolen from van

The following offences were reported on August 19 and August 20. Anyone with information contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Bessacarr: A car was stolen and £400 of jewellery in a burglary in The Hollows. The break in happened between 3.15pm on Monday and 2.30pm on Tuesday after the door was left unlocked whilst the occupants were in the garden. The car keys were taken from inside the property and a silver Volvo S40 from the driveway.

Scawthorpe: A red Renault Megane was stolen from a house in Chatsworth Crescent between 11.30pm on Monday and 7am on Tuesday after the occupants left the door open after letting their dog out. The keys to the vehicle were stolen from inside the property during the burglary.

Intake: Garden power tools were stolen from a shed in St Patrick’s Road between 9am and 11.15am on Tuesday.

Askern: Two children’s bikes were stolen from a driveway in Sutton Road between 1.30am and 9.20am on Tuesday. One of the bikes was a BMX the other a mountain bike.

Bentley: A pedal cycle was taken from outside a house in Homestead between 8pm and 11pm on Tuesday.

Armthorpe: A mountain bike was taken from outside a house in Jenkinson Grove between 9am and 11am on Tuesday.

Lakeside: A bouncing castle slide, four zorbing balls and a generator were taken from a white Mercedes Sprinter van at Lakeside Shopping Village between 10am and 6pm on Tuesday.

Wheatley Hills: A sat nav was stolen from an unlocked car on Sandall Park Drive between Sunday 2pm and 7pm on Tuesday.

Bentley: Three youths aged around 17 stole a pair of grey jogging bottoms from a washing line outside Bretton House, St James Street at 12pm Tuesday.

Bentley: Arsonists set a wheelie bin alight at 5.30pm on Sunday in Daw Lane.
