The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on July 10. Anyone with information should call 101.

Stainforth: A burglar got into a house in Long Grove through an insecure door on Wednesday night and took the purse from the occupier’s handbag. She discovered it was missing later along with the £400 cash it contained.

Belle Vue: A front door left open enabled an intruder to get into a house in Belle Vue Avenue in a 45-minute period and steal a laptop computer.

Edlington: A spare wheel has been stolen from a Volkswagen Caddy van parked in Melton Road while the owner was on holiday.

Cusworth: Thieves got into a Mini Cooper parked in Sunderland Avenue by reaching through the sunroof yesterday afternoon and stole a sports holdall said to contain £1,000 in cash.

Balby: A Citroen car parked near The Plough pub in High Road was broken into yesterday evening and a jacket was stolen.

Tickhill: Planters were stolen from a garden in Pastures Way and two planters next to the front door of a property in Wong Lane also disappeared on Wednesday night.

Barnby Dun: Ornaments and pots were stolen from the rear gardens of two properties in Peacehaven and a garden in Station Road on Wednesday night.

Rossington: A car of unknown make was deliberately set one fire in Grange Lane around 9.30pm yestrerday.
