Do you know someone inspirational in the Isle or who has gone above and beyond the call of duty? Then why not nominate them for a North Lincolnshire Community Champion Award?

North Lincolnshire Council welcomes nominations from those who have dedicated their time to volunteering, overcome barriers or excelled in a sport or the arts.

It also welcomes nominations from community groups for their work in the local community, and those that are a true inspiration to others.

The awards are spread over four categories: Volunteers; Achievement; Community; and Inspiration.

You can nominate people by completing the online form at www.northlincs.gov.uk/nlcawards, request a nomination form by emailing community.recreation@northlincs.gov.uk or call 01724 297270. You can also pick up a nomination form at any local link or library in North Lincolnshire. For more details about the awards, visit www.northlincs.gov.uk/nlcawards

The awards ceremony will be held at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe on Thursday November 27.

Councillor John Briggs, NLC’s deputy leader, said: “There’s just two weeks to go before nominations close, so ensure you don’t miss out and nominate today.

“We want nominations from all walks of life – if you know anyone who is worthy of receiving an award this year for something they have done that has helped make a real difference, please nominate them.

“It is easy to nominate.”

Nominations can be carried out online at www.northlincs.gov.uk/nlcawards or by getting in touch with NLC via email or telephone.

The closing date is Sunday 21 September 2014.
