Doncaster North MP and Labour leader Ed Miliband is to step into the limelight tomorrow when he takes centre stage at Doncaster’s newly- opened theatre.
Mr Miliband will visit £22 million new performance venue Cast for the first time since its September opening, and will be given a guided tour of the building including its 600-capacity main auditorium as well as adjoining studio performance areas.
Mr Miliband will meet Cast director Kully Thiarai, Margaret Hunt, chair of the board of trustees, and Esther Richardson, associate artist at Cast, ahead of his tour.
Since its opening weekend Cast has welcomed a total of more than 14,000 visitors and employs more than 50 people.
The venue’s first season includes live music from Hope & Social, comedy from Phil Kay and Russell Kane, and Cast’s own pantomime, Cinderella, which will be directed by Kully Thiarai.
