Crime round-up - school vandalism, spate of break-ins

The following crimes were reported to South Yorkshire Police on Thursday April 3 and Friday April 4. Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 if you have information.

Balby: A bike was stolen from outside a convenience store on Springwell Lane at 8.45pm on Wednesday. The £1,200 cycle had not been locked and was gone when the owner came out of the shop after leaving it there.

Hyde Park: Vandals caused criminal damage to the fencing around Stirling Primary School on Prospect Place, between 7.30pm on Thursday and 6am Friday.

Bawtry: A Volkswagen Golf was stolen from the driveway of a house on Sandbeck Court, between 11pm on Thursday and 6am on Friday. Police are appealing for help tracing the vehicle, registration VK12 HWG. Call officers quoting incident number 109 of April 4.

Edlington: Thieves have broken into three houses on the same estate to take boilers, electrical wiring, and copper piping. The break-ins were on Wednesday and Thursday, with two on Princes Crescent and one on Kings Crescent. An attempted break-in at a second property on Kings Crescent was also reported. Police are appealing for witnesses.
