Star pupil Ellie O’Sullivan has been presented with a top award in recognition of her academic excellence.
The former Wath Comprehensive School student picked up an excellence scholarship from the University of Lincoln.
It recognised her consistently excellent work during the first year of a dance and drama degree at the university.
She also took home a £1,000 scholarship to help with living costs and study equipment.
The 18-year-old said: “I am really pleased to receive an excellence scholarship. It’s a great reward for all of the hard work.”
Ellie was one of nine successful students who picked up their awards at a ceremony last week before an audience of family members, teachers from their previous schools and colleges and tutors from the university.
