A DUO of twinkle-toed dancers are hoping to wow the theatre crowds after they were chosen to appear in a marathon run of panto shows.
Isle youngsters Charlotte Geddes, 11, and Isabelle Nicholl-Marshall, nine, will appear in 27 shows of Aladdin at the Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe over the festive season.
Both girls passed an audition as backing dancers for the performances and they are currently deep into weekly rehearsals at the Ealand Academy of Performing Arts and Dance.
Charlotte’s mum, Sue, 46, of Potts Lane, Crowle, said: “I am so proud of her and she has not stopped talking about the show. She is so excited to be a part of it.
“It is a big challenge for them both but they are very professional even at a very young age so I’m sure they will do it.”
Isabelle’s mum Katy, of New Trent Street, Ealand, said: “We cannot wait to see her in the show and she is very happy to be a part of it.
“We have been to see the panto before and usually I’m sat watching it with my daughter but now she will actually be up on stage performing.
“I am very proud of her, its a huge achievement.”
The panto will run from Saturday, December 8, to Sunday, January 6.
