Vandals force Doncaster school to close

editorial image

VANDALS caused a Doncaster primary school to flood - forcing teachers to close the building for two days.

Yobs got into Wadworth Primary School, on Meadow Rise, Wadworth, over the weekend and are though to have turned on the school hose pipe, flooding six classrooms.

They are also thought to have vandalised the wildlife area, where paving stones were pulled up and thrown into the pond.

South Yorkshire Police are investigating the vandalism at the school, which is not expected to re-open until Wednesday.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 560 of February 24.
