A MAN has been brutally attacked by a gang and their dog in Rossington.

The 23-year-old man was assaulted by four men in an unprovoked attack on Radburn Road.

It is rumoured on social media sites he was hit to the head with a brick and savaged by a pitbull.

He had to be taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary for head injuries and cuts to his hand.

Police confirmed they were called out after the attack on Tuesday, April 10, at approximately 6.50pm and were investigation an attack involving four men.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the offence.
