Tributes to teenager

friends and family gathered to pay tribute to a determined teenager who raised thousands for charity before loosing her cancer battle.
Lanterns were released, candles were lit and memories were shared at the event for Ashleigh-Marie Parks, 17, who died after battling an aggressive tumour in her brain and three in her spine.
Throughout her illness the Danum Academy pupil raised more than £1,000 for the Parents’ Association of Children with tumours and Leukaemia and CLIC Sargent. Ashleigh of Henley Road, Intake, died in Bluebell wood Children’s Hospice on January 4 surrounded by her family. More than 2,150 people took to Facebook to post tributes to Ashleigh.
