Three years behind bars for woman who caused death by texting at wheel

A woman has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. Susan Noble, 29, of Armthorpe, Doncaster, was sentenced at Teesside Crown Court after she pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to causing the death of Alexandru Braninski, 25, a Romanian national, in a collision on the A19 near Northallerton at 9.10pm on Tuesday 27 December 2011. A DONCASTER woman has been jailed for three years after admitting causing death by dangerous driving.

Susan Noble, 29, of Armthorpe, caused the death of a 25-year-old man after what has been described by police as a “serious error of judgement”.

She was driving a Ford Fiesta on the A19 near Northallerton in December 2011, when she hit Alexandru Braninski who was standing on the hard shoulder while a wheel was being changed on his Skoda.
