RIOT police were called to a block of Doncaster flats after three men began throwing household items off the roof.

Officers attended the disturbance at about 8am today at an address in High Road, Balby, and made three arrests for violent disorder.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Upon arrival at the scene, officers arrested a 25-year-old Doncaster man for violent disorder. At this time the other two men climbed onto the roof of the property to avoid the officers.

“Following a short period of negotiation, the two men, a 20-year-old Doncaster man and a 23-year-old Doncaster man were also arrested for violent disorder.”
