The Saturdays set to shine at racing weekend

The Saturdays

The Saturdays

multi-platinum selling girl band the Saturdays are set to make it a weekend to remember as they take to the stage as part of a double bill of live music at Doncaster Racecourse.

Tickets to watch the girl-band who will take to the stage after London band Lawson are odds on to be a sell out and go on sale at 10am today.

Renowned for their energetic live performances the Saturdays and Lawson will perform live after racing on Saturday, May 18, for what is set to be an action packed day at the Town Moor course.

Mark Spincer, managing director at Doncaster Racecourse said: “We are thrilled that we have managed sign up The Saturdays to perform alongside Lawson at our double-header in May.

“With 11 top ten singles and three top ten albums, it’s clear that The Saturdays are one of the best girl groups around. Our outdoor concerts are hugely popular and it’s great to be able to bring two major acts to Doncaster.

“I am sure the event will draw in huge crowds of people, who can enjoy a great day of racing, before live music entertainment from two artists who both enjoy a huge following in their own right.”

Music and horse racing fans alike are being urged to book tickets as soon as possible for what is predicted to be a sell-out event. Adult tickets start from just £30, children’s tickets are £11. Hospitality options available from £80 + VAT.

All tickets and hospitality for the event, which go on sale today at 10am, include racing followed by the two bands live after racing.

The girls are currently starring in their own show on Sky’s E Channel Chasing The Saturday that charts their efforts to break the music market in America.

The announcement comes after Boyband and solo star Ronan Keating was revealed as the artists set to perform at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday, June 29. For more information visit www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk or to buy tickets, call 01302 511 918.
