Take tour of Commons
GUESTS are welcome to join a local MP and take a trip to the House of Commons later this year.
Caroline Flint is asking Don Valley constituents if they would like to take part in the day excursion to London on Wednesday 3 March.
The event, organised by Don Valley Labour Party, takes place every two years and places are available.
Area secretary John Mills said: "Caroline Flint has always welcomed constituents to the House of Commons. This trip is open to anyone who lives in Don Valley.
"People get to tour the Palace of Westminster, see some famous faces and have time for a spot of shopping or sight seeing if they want, or to watch parliament in action.
"In recent years, we have even had photos taken on the steps of Number Ten."
Dunscroft resident Norma Sturrock, who has attended several of the trips, said: "This trip is a great day out. It is an early start, but everything is taken care of and Caroline is a great host.
"She looks after her guests and we usually go away with nice photos under Big Ben or from Downing Street."
The cost of tickets is 30.
For details of the trip or to reserve places, ring Don Valley Labour Party 01302 770830.
