Successful year for dogs charity

AN animal welfare charity is celebrating after they rehomed 125 greyhounds in the region in just one year.

The Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust (LGT) is dedicated to finding new homes for retired greyhounds throughout Lincolnshire, including the Isle of Axholme.

Kev Stow, who formed the trust in 1998, said: “Greyhounds make great pets. They are a gentle, lovable breed and only need two 20 minute walks a day.

“We work hard to find forever homes for the dogs in our care and I would like to thank all the members of the public who have provided forever homes, or made donations, in the last 14 years.”

The LGT is always looking for volunteers to help with their work and for people looking to give a greyhound a home.

Anyone who can help should contact Kev or Mandy on 01522 569825 or 0794 131 3025.
