Staff rewarded for long service

DEDICATED staff at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust have been recognised for their long service.

The trust held a ceremony last week to acknowledge employees who have reached 25-year, 30-year, and 40-year milestones, plus anyone who has served the NHS for more than 40 years.

This year, the ceremony marked out two people out who have dedicated their working lives to helping others.

June Mellor was rewarded for 50 years service and Roy Shirley was praised for his 47 years working for the NHS.

Trust chairman Madeleine Keyworth said: “This is the second time the Trust has held a specific event to celebrate people’s long service, and we certainly have a lot of people to congratulate. Every one of these people deserves recognition for their loyalty and commitment.”
