Punters help swell coffers

CUSTOMERS and staff at a Mexborough pub have raised more than £1,000 for a cancer charity.

Regulars at The Imperial Club and Brewery collected £1,054 for Breast Cancer Campaign during a series of fundraisers over the last three months.

The latest charity event was held last week when all-female brass band Boobs and Brass gave a performance to a packed crowd.

Imperial owner Frank Hoyland said: “We are all really pleased with how much we have managed to raise. We have held everything from charity concerts to raffles and it has been a great effort.”
