Police urge witnesses to come forward in park rape case

POLICE are reappealing for witnesses to a rape in Stainforth to come forward.

A 17-year-old woman was attacked by two men at around 1am at Peacock Park in Stainforth, but police have yet to make any arrests.

Officers have reassured residents that the rape was a rare occurrence in the village, and urged any residents who have information on the attack to come forward. Anyone with infirmation on the two attackers should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, or leave details anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting incident number 151 of 23/02/201
