Police plan action over thefts from Doncaster flats

ACTION is set to be taken by police over concerns over incidents of theft from a block of Doncaster flats.

A meeting of the Hyde Park and Belle Vue Partners and Communities Together (PACT) group set theft from communal areas of Silverwood House, at St James Street, as a priority for action.

The meeting heard that there had been a recent increase in incidences in the building, which is one of Doncaster’s best known high rise blocks of flats. The PACT group sees officials from the police Safer Neighbourhood Teams and council officers meet the public to hear about issues which are concerning them.
