Physician takes up a new post
A NEW Consultant Physician has been appointed to the trust which runs Montagu Hospital.
Dr Ram Kela has taken up his post as Consultant Physician with a special interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
He joins Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals from the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust where he was Specialist Registrar in busy and dynamic Diabetes department.
Dr Kela graduated from Mumbai University in 1998, became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006 and then qualified as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (Diabetes/Endocrinology) in 2010.
He is a member of Diabetes UK, the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists and the Society of Endocrinology.
Dr Kela said: “I am delighted to be working with the diabetes team and contributing to the great service offered to Doncaster and Bassetlaw residents.”
He has also worked at Northampton General Hospital as Specialist Registrar in Diabetes/Endocrinology, and at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire as Specialist Registrar in the field of Acute Medicine.
