Patients evacuated after hospital fire

PATIENTS had to be evacuated from Doncaster Royal Infirmary after a small fire in a laundry room.

Doncaster firefighters spent an hour tackling the small blaze at about 10.45pm yesterday.

It is believed an electrical fault sparked the fire.

Patients were able to return to the ward after about 20 minutes.
