Paint firm plans to go green at Doncaster site

Householders in Doncaster are being given the chance to free up their sheds, garages and cupboards to mark Climate Week.

Crown Paints has launched Kick Out The Can, a two week recycling programme, which starts at the beginning of Climate Week on March 4.

Householders are being given the opportunity to clear out their unwanted paint by taking the containers and tins back to their local Crown Decorating Centre, on Doncaster Carr industrial estate.

The paint will be processed and then donated for community projects.Leftover paint containers will also be reprocessed and recycled.

Crown Paints’ Mark Lloyd, said: “We are delighted to be launching our recycling campaign.”
