A MAN suffered serious facial injuries after a mystery late-night attack.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following the assault of the 21-year-old Conisbrough man in St Sepulchre Gate, Doncaster.

Police said the man was approached by a man and a woman and he was punched, causing him to fall to the ground.

The incident occurred between 2.25am and 2.45am on Sunday, December 16.
