Man hurt in road crash

A MEXBOROUGH man was taken to hospital with a fractured skull after he was struck by a black cab on a Sheffield road.

Police said the 35-year-old stepped into the path of a black London Taxi travelling along St Mary’s Gate in the city centre on Monday, at about 11.45pm.

It is believed the pedestrian was using his mobile phone at the time of the collision. Call police on 101.
