Man, 25, is ‘kidnapped’

A MAN suffered serious facial injuries after being kidnapped by a gang and taken to another property where he was beaten.

The 25-year-old was found at a home in Pipering Lane, Scawthorpe, by police following the abduction from a property in Regent Street, Balby,

Police said seven men and three women were initially arrested.

Four people have now been charged with kidnap and assault and were due to appear at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

They are Jonathan and Neil Burns, 31 and 29 respectively, of Harewood Avenue, Kirk Sandall, Cohen Fawley, 18, of High Street, Bentley, and David Rainey, 31, of Harewood Avenue. Woodlands.

Police sealed off the house following the incident at 12.20pm on Monday. Scores of crimes officers scoured the house for clues and police took away items in several plastic bags.

Officers were still at the house on Tuesday and detectives also carried out door-to-door inquiries.

Eye witnesses told the Free Press that a number of emergency services vehicles arrived at the home.

One who asked not to be named said: “I was just watching the television when I saw police cars and ambulances all parking up outside the house at about 4.30pm on Monday.

“I didn’t know what was going on, it was shocking to see so many cars outside that one house.”

A police spokesman confirmed a 25-year-old man was believed to have been abducted and assaulted. He suffered serious facial injuries, she added.
