HIGH-ACHIEVING schools in the Doncaster area have been praised from the very top as a Government minister has sent out letters of congratulations.

Schools minister David Laws has written to a number of primary schools to congratulate them on their latest set of test results.

Southfield Primary School in Armthorpe and All Saints’ Church of England Primary School in Hooton Pagnell were recognised for achieving 100 per cent results in their level four tests.

Long Toft Primary School in Stainforth and the Mallard Primary School in Balby also received letters congratulating them for showing sustained improvement between 2009 and 2012.

Mr Laws said: “I would like to congratulate all staff, governors and pupils for their hard work and success and to thank the head for the leadership in continuing the drive towards the highest standards of educational achievement.”

Luddington and Garthorpe, near Epworth, also received a letter of congratulations for their 100 per cent results record.
