A BRIEF History of Life was the thread for an all-week arts project at Rawmarsh, and it started with a big bang!

For the special week, in which all usual lessons are cast aside, pupils at Rosehill Primary put all their effort in to music, drama, dance, poetry and art.

Visiting tutors, poets and dancers were in school to lend expertise and inspiration, and all pupils worked towards a final performance, to which infants and parents were invited.

A school spokesman said: “There were many highlights but a massive dinosaur was a fantastic piece of art work. Every pupil could decide which area of the arts they preferred to work in and it was a brilliant week.”
