MULTI million selling rockers Kasabian have announced a date at The Dome this spring.

Tickets to see the Leicester-based band on Tuesday, March 19 will go on sale this Friday, February 15.

The date follows their successful arena tour in 2011.

Andy O’Grady, events manager at Doncaster Dome said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Kasabian to the Dome.

“They are complete rock legends and have a massive fan base that we are sure will come out and support them in Yorkshire.”

Formed in Leicester while still at school, they took their name from Linda Kasabian, one of the members of the Charles Manson cult.

Their electronica-indie rock fusion combined with a rough vocal style firmly established them as more than just a flash in the pan and injected a large dose of energy back into the Brit-rock scene.

“It is great that we can attract such high profile events to Doncaster, bringing fans from across the region to the town to enjoy a great night of fantastic music.”

The band have racked up a string of UK hits including Fire, Empire and Shoot The Runner as well as a host of number one albums

The Live Nation event will see special guests, yet to be announced, joining the band for their Doncaster date.

Tickets costing £35 are available from Friday 15th February at 9am from the Dome Box office on 01302 370777 or via the website at www.the-dome.co.uk. Doors open 7pm
