Have your say on policing in area
Police tape
residents are being urged to have their say about policing in their area as part of a South Yorkshire Police Authority consultation.
The information gained from the discussions will help form part of the 2013/14 Policing Priorities.
In a change to normal consultation methods members of the public are being asked to send pictures, drawings or a short statement that represent what neighbourhood policing means to them.
Submissions can be made via Twitter, email or post and will be uploaded to the Police Authority Twitter account, Flickr page and main website.
Charles Perryman, chair of the Police Authority, said: “We want to know what Neighbourhood Policing means to the people of South Yorkshire. Responses need to be as imaginative and creative as possible.”
South Yorkshire will elect its first ever Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) on November 15. The PCC will replace the Police Authority, taking over duties including overseeing the budget for policing.
